Personal: WW2 why America has always fooled it self

Follow me on Twitter
Through my life I've seen many comments from Americans "We saved you from speaking German".

Correction:  The heroes who fought in Europe saved us, those who did something during the fall of the EU, during the evacuation at Dunkirk and at Battle of Britain saved us.  America helped the EU when the invasion of Europe occurred by the Allied forces but this was years after the start of WW2.

Sometimes I think they generally don't educate their own people of the build up to WW2.

Let's have a look at a few details shall we?

The Nazis actually had invaded a nation and annexed another before they even got to Poland, before the EU nations declared war - after all they were pretty desperate for peace.
Those two nations? Austria was annexed and Czechoslovakia was invaded.  Their reasoning on Austria was they are Germans (course it was a lie).  During this entire time the allies still continued to push for peace.

Germany invades Poland causing the allies to declare war.

At this stage America had still done barely anything anything.

Europe actually fell relatively easy with German generals willing to take risks and the allied generals taking a more cautious approach by not pushing back.  The Nazis invasion had got to France where the allies had prepared a hard defensive line.

Somme - Anyone who knows their history of WW2 will know this is a pivotal moment in the invasion of France - the allies lines crumbled and got surrounded and out flanked.  Also this is when Italy also joined the war and invaded France (something many people don't mention nor talk about).

The EU had fallen, the remaining allied troops pulled back to Dunkirk, the famous evacuation of not a few troops but instead over 300,000.  They left behind equipment, tanks, vehicles, weapons and supplies (sabotaging what they could).

America had still not got involved.  And Britain had lost a major portion of it's fleet while protecting the evacuation.

Battle of Britain, Hitler took a much more cautious approach to Britain.  He knew we had the Airforce and the plan was to destroy it before invading.  Germany had prioritised airfields by bombing them, launching wave after wave after wave at England.  One of many factors gave Britain a chance - German bomber accidently hit London (they had bombs, were lost so decided to drop them).  This caused other issues/problems but the end result was it gave the airfields a breather because the priority for the Nazis was to hit other targets.

During the Battle of Britain 9 American pilots were involved.

At the final days of this battle, a battle that lasted from July to October; the Nazis had prepared an invasion force and when the German Airforce had taken it's final beating - it cancelled the invasion.

The "heroes" on those who saved us are the many who fought in the above and other battles.  The above prevented the German invasion of England.  Not America, Not thousands of American troops or dozens of American ships.

America didn't really get involved until Pearl Harbour December 1941.  I say "really" because there was supply laws or "pacts" that involved in shipping supplies/resources to the allies.

Battle of Britain started July 1940 till the end of October 1940.

America carried on pretending there was no war, that it was Europe's problem.

Germany invaded Poland in September 1939.

Canada had declared war on Germany along with other allies - While America's official stance was "neutral".

The invasion of England didn't happen due to the Battle of Britain although there was other factors and other plans to invade England (even the Isle of Wright which was recently discovered in a book).  The end result was the same - Germany didn't invade Britain.

Personal: Uniform

Follow me on Twitter
Schools are under tremendous pressure to succeed, raising standards, grades and the major inspections from Ofsted.

If one of these parts fail this could lead to the School being shutdown or placed in special measures (later part usually comes first).  This also means that leadership are immediately removed: Head Teacher, Deputy Heads and possibly even the Assistant Head Teachers and Heads of Departments - we're talking around 10-20 Staff removed and their careers in possible tatters.

Having worked in Education for many years I've seen Schools suffer this harsh punishment and rightly so, if they are not good enough they should be shut down.  Just like in my current job if I am not good enough I should be shown the door - the end.

So Uniform, like it or not this plays a major part in self respect to the School outfit and also affects respect towards the School > Staff.  With one word "Discipline".  Anyone that's worked in Education will know this is true, we've all been kids and we've all at times tried to cheek our way out from the Uniform.  The exact same shoes these kids are trying to get away with are the exact same ones I've tried to wear - black trainers and black suede leather.  It's always those two that kids try and get away with and Parents are just as bad if they don't bother to adhere to the uniform policy.

School Policy
Every Parent should be sticking to the School policies just as much as every Student and every member of staff - regardless.

Anyone not sticking to them are apart of the problem in todays educational problems.  There's a reason why Schools don't always force the policy and the recent press have summed it up.  You have the Parents not happy and causing a fury, threaten to tell the papers, threaten to pull their kids out and refuse to ignore their own stubbornness.  Like it or not these Parents are apart of the problem, they don't want to help the School in moving forward they are right and they know better when it comes to behaviour and School discipline.  After all these Parents deal with a class of up to 30 Students every hour.  After all these Parents deal with their children showing off with their friends all day every day.  After all while trying to teach these kids the Parents fully know what it's like to watch them sit on their phone all day every day and act like their social life is more important than their Education.

WRONG, Parents should be actually - MUST be supporting the School otherwise frankly they are bad Parents.

I can speak from experience on this one:
"You go to School to learn not come home to do School work"
"You wear what I get you"
"I cant afford that"
"I believe my Son over the School"
"My Son is no liar"

These are terms my own mother would use and frankly they were wrong, course at the time I didn't care - I was a little brat.  I grew up, I opened my eyes and realised the world didn't centre around me.

Parents
You're a bad Parent because you are setting a very bad example in allowing your child to ignore the rules.  When they leave School and go to a job, they will be most likely expected to wear certain clothing.  Some companies like it or not will NOT allow flexibility.

I might be generalising but it's true let's face it, some Parents can make mistakes and those kids are resolved within a day or at least spoken to the School in a professional way.  Then there are "those" Parents who refuse to follow the Uniform.  Well done for again being apart of the major problem in Education.  Instead of supporting the School to raise standards throw a tantrum, throw your toys out of the pram and continue to set a fantastic example to your grinning child who finds it funny.  Well done I applaud you - your child will learn to fight the rules and find it funny not to have any discipline.

What a disgusting Parent you are - again WELL DONE.  I'm sure your child will raise their children to be the exact the same and act like life should be handed to them on a silver plate.  I look forward to them abusing the benefit system and not having a career in some way.  I'm sure they may end up having a child by 16 - well done.

Again - generalising but it tends to be true like it or not.

Twitter
The state of some of the responses on twitter show an utter lack of understanding and knowledge of the educational system - Uniform doesn't matter.  Wrong - it matters, the best educational authorities around the world are 100 times more harsher than our own nation especially on Uniform.  Once upon a time when this Country had a good educational system kids had a School uniform and that was it.  There wasn't choice on shoes, there wasn't choice in shorts, skirts or trousers.  You adhered to the Uniform - the end.

Twitter is absolutely full of people who don't spend enough time in education just because you "deal" with it - means nothing.  My suppliers deal with education but they are still far from clueless at the state of behaviour.  Visitors, governors, Ofsted and Parents are all clueless when it comes to behaviour in the School.

Funny thing is, if it was their child being bullied they would demand that it get resolved.  They would scream that behaviour is ignored, major problem and is brushed under the carpet.  Yet these same Parents would scream against sorting out the Uniform which in turn helps Behaviour.

Schools
More and more Schools are pushing to improve Uniform all for one thing - Raising Standards.
They are not doing it because they want to, they are not doing it to control everything they are doing it for those two words.  Even Schools that are classed as "cruising" are having no choice but to sort out the uniform.

For those who don't know what cruising means, it means they are happy to prod along as they are, not making major improvements in grades, Ofsted inspections and standards.  It's a School that doesn't change their ways to move forward.  The best Schools in the Country are those hard on Uniform to the point they don't need to make changes, hard on discipline because they must succeed and the Parents know this.  There is no meet me half way, your child is here to LEARN.

Cruising is really like a steady cruise control of your car.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Every School must improve if they are not reaching their maximum potential.  Like it or not the Government doesn't see that your child has ADHD, they don't see a family death, they don't see your child in foster care or abuse.  They see one thing - a child capable of getting great results.  That's what they see with every School.

Every piece of clothing that has been denied in all the photos, I wouldn't allow them in so why are Parents buying them? if unsure ASK the School you've had plenty of notice so don't deny it.

Time to wake up Parents and support your School and YOUR child.  Get over your self and grow up.

What a surprise it's those kind of Parents who come from shall we say Council estate backgrounds, the ones who really don't care about their child's education.

Not a nice thing to say but usually true.
